Using Large Planters

I wanted to add a note here....I've seen lately on pinterest to fill the bottom of the planter with packing peanuts....don't do it ! I was adding peanuts and broken packing Styrofoam to planters in the 80's........what a mess. Eventually you t to change the soil after a plant has died and there are too many roots to re-plant. If we would have had a sheet of foam insulation we would have used it rather than the plywood. You can buy disks for planers but they are horribly expensive. I've only seen them on the internet never in retail.

Hellebore
Hellebore
Commonly known as hellebores /ˈhɛlɨbɔərz/, members of the genus Helleborus comprise approximately 20 species of herbaceous or evergreen perennial flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, within which it gave its name to the tribe of Helleboreae. Many species are poisonous. Despite names such as "Christmas rose" and "Lenten rose", hellebores are not closely related to the rose family (Rosaceae).
Grown in gardens on both sides of the Atlantic for generations, Bleeding Hearts, or Lady in the Bath as they are know across the pond, are the epitome of grace. The deeply cut foliage frames strings of finely formed blossoms like little garden twinkle lights.
