Furniture Make-Overs and Home Decorations

I purchased this desk several years ago at a yard sale. It was dark mahogany color. I had been wanting to re-finish it for a long time

and add a decoupage to it. I designed a CIRCLE-OF-ROSES

decoupage design I added to the sides.I mix my own chalk paint

and usually use plaster of paris, but I used baking 

soda on this project. ( Recipe for Chalk Paint)

Often, when I decoupage, I print my pattern on

tracing paper or tissue paper. I used tracing paper

but wish I had used regular thin paper.
